Pressplay specialise in compiling and marketing high profile DVD sets of specialist TV programmes, such as the much acclaimed Battlefield series of WW11, and also CD compilations, such as Elvis Presley, 60s and 70s hits and Country music.

In this case, the 6 CD 'This Is Soul' collection is fairly self explanetory.

Other than writing the script, the hardest job was to plough my way through 4 hours of Soul music off the CDs seaching for 5 or 6 iconic songs, then find 5 or 6 perfect 'clips' that would flow well together as a '30 second' as well as work cleanly with the script.

I eventually put together 5 pieces as 'roughcut' WAV files, stripped them together as an audio 'layout' and spent an hour or so in an editing suite leaving an expert to complete the work from the original music files.

The voice-over was a giant of a man called Maurice.
